Attitude & Engines
It’s all a matter of attitude; it is what you make of it. For example, a blown motor in February: it can either ruin your season (ok, it will ruin a month of it anyway), or you can learn how that motor comes out!
It took a month to get the blown motor out, get the new motor, and get the new motor back into the sled. Unfortunately, it was February, one of the best months for riding. Even missing a whole month of good riding, I got in plenty of good wrenching, and I did learn a lot from the project. I learned how the motor comes out; I learned how it plugs into the fuel, electrical, and coolant lines. But I also learned that even such a disappointing situation can hold good lessons – in the way you look at things.
It’s a bummer of a situation, but that doesn’t keep you from making the most of it. You can look at it as the disaster of the season, or you can look at it as a learning experience. It’s all in the attitude – anything has a good side if you look, but sometimes you really have to look…
Ride hard, and take care of your sled – during the summer!!
