Downhill Line

Last day of the year.

Hard to believe 2011 is over, but here we are. Shredding fresh lines in Washington on the last day of the year.

Yes, things have changed. I’ve move from Colorado to Canada for college; my folks have moved to Washington. And so we meet here for matter of weeks to shred… and for some of us, take a break from learning.

Instead, I get to learn a new area. New conditions.

And now, a new year. Hopefully full of many good rides and progression!

The result of a lousy snow year in southern Colorado… but persistent riders. Throughout several months – and a trip to Wyoming, we made it count!

The HH will be in for some big changes this coming winter…. but we should still be riding. Hopefully enough to get some good footage.

No, not official records… personal ones. Just today, I set my longest jump in at an honest, certified 125′ feet.

Mind you, that’s off of entirely natural terrain. I didn’t even get off of my sled to kick at the takeoff.

I probably could have flown a little further, but the landing only got flatter. And it hurt enough as it was – thanks to the mod seat, I’ll able to go rip it tomorrow, too.

Whipping out

Unfortunately, this year hasn’t proven to be the snowiest… So I don’t have much to report. A few mere pictures are all I have to present.

Oh, or there was the time that we lent a sled to a buddy of ours and he left the parking brake on… That ended better then it could have. At least it was only the oil tank that exploded and caught on fire. We were even able to ride it back out (it was 20 miles in, so it would have made for a long walk!).
